Job Title: Clinic Office Manager
Location: Tecumseh, NE and Adams, NE
Department: Tecumseh Family Health/Adams Primary Care
Reports To: Administrator
Position Summary:
Responsible for supervising, organizing, directing, and coordinating the activities involved in the clinic office functions. The Clinic Manager is responsible for the management of the clinic operational processes and the financial performance in coordination and cooperation with Johnson County Hospital and the Hospital Administrator.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Coordinates and schedules staff.
· Manages office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
· Conducts staff meetings.
· Performs quarterly chart audits and provides reference for retention, protection, transfer and disposal of medical records.
· Follow-up on patient concerns and complaints.
· Verifies and posts deposits on a daily basis.
· Reviews unbilled claims, insurance billing, and refunds.
· Reviews unpaid claims with staff.
· Prepares an annual budget.
· Reviews and prepares financial reports.
· Prepares a Biennial RHC evaluation of the clinic's total operation including overall organization, administration, policies and procedures covering personnel, fiscal and patient care areas.
· Manages compliance with policies and regulations.
· Implementation of processes for providing customer service.
· Maintains knowledge of current policies, procedures and regulations issued by local, state and federal agencies.
· Develops, implements and maintains office policies and procedures.
· Performs any other duties deemed necessary by the Hospital Administrator.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor degree in business or health care professional preferred.
· Post high school education in business or health care profession required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Attends mandatory educational programs and departmental in-services as directed.
· Expands knowledge by attending seminars and workshops to develop professional growth.
· Maintains skills/competencies required for this position.
· Participates in departmental projects in order to enhance departmental efficiency, systems, education, patient care or personal growth.
